The Mefag Box Camera was manufactured by the Gothenburg Camera Factory in Gothenburg, Sweden in circa 1945. It was a simple box camera constructed of metal and covered in imitation leather. A decorative metal chrome face plate was fitted to the front of the camera with the word "Mefag" in a diamond embossed in the metal. It was capable of capturing 6 x 6 cm negatives using standard no. 120 roll film. It featured a single view finder, a fixed focus meniscus lens, a fixed aperture, a single instantaneous shutter speed of approximately 1/50th of a second and a carrying handle. This is one of two cameras made by the same factory. The other was the similar Handy camera.
