The Rochester View camera was manufactured by the Rochester Camera manufacturing company from approximately 1895 to 1901. Designed for compactness and simplicity. It was constructed of a solid highly polished mahogany body with a cherry bed for strength. The metal hardware was lacquered and polished brass. The bellows was made of black fabric. It has a double swing reversible back and a rising and falling front. Front focus via rack and pinion. The wide front can be adapted for stereo work. this camera was available in various sixes including 5 x 7; 5 x 8; 6 1/2 c 8 1/2; 8 x 10; 11 x 14; 14 x 17, with a price range in 1902 of $17 to $45 dollars.
