Ansco's Vest Pocket specail camera was manufactured in circa 1915. It was the same design and construction of the standard Ansco Vest Pocket camera except it was finished in gold tone metal and covered with a maroon colored leatherette. Its compact design fit in a pocket. The camera was designed with a struts to extend the bellows and lock into position for taking photos 8 foot to infinity. It was capable of capturing six 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch exposures on Ansco No. 4A roll film. It was fitted with a fixed focus menicus lens and an instantaneous and time shutter operated by finger release including bulb. It also featured a brilliant finder for vertical or horizontal pictures.
