The Foth 6x9 Roll film Camera was manufactured by F.C. Foth & Co. from 1927 to the 1940s. The camera body and bed was constructed of all metal with black leather covering and a leather bellows. It was capable of capturing 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch (6x9cm) exposures on standard 120 roll film. The early versions, 1927-1930, had a single horizontal pull knob for manual extending the bellows. Later version had two vertical knobs. The early cameras were fitted with Doppel Anastigmat f4.5, 105mm lens with a Foth Shutter providing 1/25 to 1/100th of a second speed. Beginning in 1931 the roll film cameras had new options for lens-shutter combinations. A faster shutter with speeds from 1/25 to 1/300th of a second was available. This shutter was boldly marked "DERBY" on the top. Additionally, a Tessar f4.5 105mm lens in a Compur shutter with speeds of 1 to 1/300th of a second was another lens/shutter option. In addition to the existing brilliant finder, a wire frame finder was also introduced in 1931.
