The Shumy camera was distributed by the Chuo Supply Company of Japan and likely manufactured by Daitoh Optical Company in circa 1955. The camera was similar to the company's other models, the Flashline and Harmony. It was constructed of a plastic body with metal on the top and bottom with an integrated view finder. The Shumy camera was capable of capturing 6x6cm exposures on standard no. 120 roll film. It was fitted with fixed focused lens and featured three aperture settings for bright, sun and haze. It also had a two speed shutter providing fast and slow speeds plus bulb.
