The Clarissa Tropical camera with a brass front was manufactured by E. Lorenz im Berlin, Germany in circa 1929. Similar to the standard tropical Clarissa camera, it was constructed with a wooden body and thick leather bellows, but also had a more durable front standard made of brass. The Clarissa is a strut-folding camera was capable of capturing 4.5x6 cm on plates. It was fitted with either a Meyer-Gorlitz Trioplan f3 75mm or a Doppel-Anastigmat Helioplan f4.5 75mm. The camera included a fast focal-plane shutter providing speeds from 1/20th to 1/1000th of a second.
