The Nacht Kamera was manufactured by the E. Lorenz company in Berlin, Germany in circa 1926. The design is similar to Ernemann's Ermanox. It was constructed of a wood box with brass metal parts and brown leather covering. A folding Newton viewfinder is located on the top. It was fitted with a large-aperture Meyer Plasmat f2 9cm portrait lens, (Paul Rudolph's patent), in a helicoid focusing mount. It featured a focal plane shutter designed to allow for photography in poor light.
