The Tomic camera was manufactured by the Toko Photo Co. Ltd. of Tokyo, Japan in circa 1952 to 1953. This SLR coupled rangefinder camera was well built with a metal body similar to the Zeiss Super Ikonta B. The top plate above the view finder has the company logo T.K.C. engraved on it. The Tomic was capable of capturing both 6x6cm and 4.5x6cm (insertion of a mask) exposures on roll film. It was fitted with a Sygmar f3.5 8cm lens mounted in a synchronized Gyrope shutter providing speeds from 1 to 1/400th of a second and bulb. Very few Tomic cameras were produced.
