The camera was designed to accept interchangeable lens including a wide angle and telephoto lenses that required the companies unique Clarus screw mount. It was originally fitted with a 3-element coated Wollensak f2.8, 50mm Anastigmat lens. After May of 1948, the camera was also available with an Wollensak Raptar f2 lens, in addition to the the f2.8 lens model. The camera was designed with curtain-type, rubberized nylon, focal plane shutter providing speeds from 1/25 to 1/1000th of a second and bulb.
