The Orizont Amator was manufactured by the Romainian state owned Intrepriderea Optica Romana S.A. or I.O.R. factory in the late 1960's. A 35mm roll film camera. It is similar to the German Regula Pica model, as licensed from the German manufacturer King Regula. Constructed of metal with a bulit-in view finder, the lower half of the body covered in leatherette and it was decorated with a fake auto exposure meter cell screen. The shutter provided four speeds, 1/30th, 1/60th, 1/125th, 1/300th of a second. It was fitted with a Fotoclar 300, f2.8, 40mm lens. In addition it featured weather symbols for aperture setting.
