  Orizont Optim-a camera


The Orizont Optim-a camera was manufactured by the Romainian state owned Intrepriderea Optica Romana S.A. or I.O.R. factory from 1970 to 1989. A 35mm roll film camera. It is similar to the German Regula Pica model and made under license of German manufacturer King. This was the most advanced of the Orizont cameras. The Optim-a featured both auto and manual exposure. The camera was constructed of metal with a bulit-in view finder, the lower half of the body covered in leatherette. The shutter provided four speeds, 1/30th, 1/60th, 1/125th, 1/300th of a second. It was fitted with a Fotoclar 500, f2.8, 40mm lens. In addition it featured weather symbols for aperture setting.
