The Flach-Primar camera was manufactured by Curt Bentzin Company in circa 1914. The name translates to "flat-Primary" relating to the camera being thin when folded. It was constructed of black hardwood, black polished inside and black leather outside. The base was made of aluminum and fittings made in brass. The metal standard is one piece construction for strength and is finished in black enamel. This plate camera is durable in all climates or "tropical safe" and was made in two sizes, a 9 x 12 cm and a 10 x 15 cm. It was fitted with either a Zeiss Tessar or a Zeiss Doppel-Amatar in a compur-Verschluss shutter. Other features included a double extension bellows and a folding brilliant finder with a spirit level.
