  Bentzin Spiegel-Camera-Primar


The Spiegel-Camera-Primar was manufactured by the Bentzin camera company in circa 1922. This single lens reflex camera featured a full view focusing hood and a instant shutter that allowed for viewing the image up to the instant the photo is exposed. The frame that holds the negative or cassette is easily rotated for shooting in landscape or protrait orientation. The camera is covered in black leather or polished in black. All metal parts are blackened or painted. The bellows are made of leather. The camera was made in seven sizes ranging from 6.5 x 9 cm to 18 x 24 cm. The camera was fitted with a Zeiss-Tessar f4.5 lens.
