  Bentzin Primarette Camera

The Primarette camera was manufactured by Bentzin camera company in circa 1922 to 1937. This compact camera was also sold under the name Planovista, by the German firm, "Planovista Seeing Camera Company", located in London. It was an unusual twin-lens camera with direct focusing on the upper lens for viewing and lower lens for capturing the image. The camera accepted standard no. 127 roll film for taking 4 × 6.5 cm (1 3/4 x 2 1/2 inch) exposures. Constructed of metal with leather covering, a leather bellows and nickel plated or black painted metal fittings. It was fitted with various lens Zeiss Tessar, Meyer Trioplan, Steinheil Cassar or Makro-Plasmat in a Compur shutter providing speeds up to 1/300th of a second, plus time and bulb.
