The Banco 4.5 or Banco Lux camera was manufactured by the Kafta camera company, sometimes referred to as Kaftanski after the inventor, of Paris France in circa 1955. It was made with black molded plastic incorporating a built-in optical view finder. The camera captured 6 x 9 cm exposures on no. 120 roll film. The Lux or 4.5 was an upgraded version of this camera that was fitted with a fixed focus Transpar-Trinity anastigmat f4.5 lens mounted on a telescoping front and a shutter providing speeds from 1/25th to 1/150 of a second. It also featured synchronized flash and three lens settings for infinity, group and portrait.
