The second version of the Periflex camera was manufactured by K. G. Corfield Ltd in circa 1954. This version was constructed of metal with the top and bottom black anodized and the body covered with a black imitation leatherette. It is a 35mm camera fitted with a Lumar f3.5 50mm lens in an aluminum housing. The camera featured a fast focal plane shutter providing speeds of 1/30th to 1/1000th of a second plus bulb. Designed with a unique periscope viewfinder that focused through the taking lens.
