  Forthe Optifort Camera

The Optifort camera was manufactured by the Forthe Photochemical Industry of Vac, Hungary. The company was founded in 1946 when the opportunity arose to buy and resurrect a bombed Eastman Kodak building. The Company began business making photographic paper, then later plates, roll film and then in 1949 the Optifort camera. The Optifort camera was constructed of cast aluminum and finished with black lacquer. It featured a fixed focus meniscus lens and in a time and moment shutter.
