The Comet NK 135 camera was manufactured by Bencini of Milan, Italy from 1972 to 1985. It was constructed of cast-metal and plastic. A pyramid shape on its upper side gave the false impression of a penta-prism. The camera was a simple 35mm for taking 24 x 36 mm exposures. It was fitted with an Bencini Color Bluestar f2.8 50mm lens and a Bencini shutter providing speeds of 1/30th, 1/60th, 1/125 and 1/250th of a second plus bulb. Other features included flash synchronization, built-in eye level Galelian optical viewfinder and fast film advance.
