The APM Folding Plate camera was manufactured by the Amalgamated Photographic Materials company in circa 1924.
The camera body was constructed of well-seasoned wood with a metal baseboard, covered in black leather and the interior finished in black enamel. This rigid folding bed bellows camera was capable of capturing six 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch exposures on glass plates. Featuring an infinity catch, an engraved focusing scale, two tripod bushes for portrait or landscape, a reversible finder and a hooded rear focusing screen.
Fitted with a Marvel shutter providing speeds from 1/25 to 1/100th of a second, plus bulb paired with either a single Achromatic lens or a rapid rectilinear f8 lens or a General Shutter providing speeds from 1/5 to 1/100th of a second, plus bulb paired with either a Kershaw Anastigmat f7.7 or f6.3 lens.
