  APM Laltrex Camera

The Laltrex camera was manufactured by the Amalgamated Photographic Materials company in circa 1924. The folding pocket camera is capable of taking 3 1/4 x 5 1/2 inch, Postcard sized negatives on spool loaded roll film. The camera body was constructed of wood and aluminum with morocco-grained black leather covering. Fitted with either a Marvel shutter providing speeds from 1/25 to 1/100th of a second plus bulb and paired with either a single achromatic or an f8 rapid rectilinear lense or fitted with a General shutter providing 1/5th to 1/100th of a second with a Kershaw anastigmat f7.7 or f6.3. The camera measured 9 1/2 x 4 3/4 x 1 15/16 inches and weighed 34 ounces. Prices ranged from 5£ to 13£.
