  Soho Reflex Camera

The APM Soho Reflex camera was manufactured by the Amalgamated Photographic Materials (APM) company in circa 1924. However the Soho Reflex was made in earlier years in the Kershaw factory in Leeds and sold by Kershaw and Marion & Co. prior to merging with APM. The Camera was constructed of the choicest seasoned mahogany and covered in the best morocco leather. All metal work was hand finished and tested prior to before shipment. It was fitted with a focal plane shutter of distinctive pattern capable of providing speeds of 1/16 to 1/800 second plus time, with later models providing 1/1000th second. Features included a rising front, A rotating back, ground-glass focusing screen, rack and pinion front extension, leather bellows, front tilt and swing movements was available at extra cost. It was available with various lenses including Wray Lustrar Anastigmat f4.5, Aldis f4.5, Dallmeyer Pentac f2.9, Dallmeyer Serrac f4.5, Ross Xpres f4.5, Ross Homocentric f6.8, and a Cooke Series II f4.5. The camera was manufactured in various sizes including 3½ x 2½ inch, 4¼ x 3¼ inch (quarter plate), 5½ x 3½ inch ('postcard'), 5 x 4 inch.
