  APM Vest Pocket (early)

The APM Vest Pocket was manufactured by the Amalgamated Photographic Materials company in circa 1921. A compact strut folding camera, model no. 228, capable of capturing eight 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 inch exposures on roll film. Small enough to comfortable fit into a pocket. The camera was primarily constructed of aluminum covered in morocco-grained leather and finished in nickel and black enamel. It was fitted with a first quality single achromatic f11 lens or a Rapid rectilinear lens f8 or a Kershaw Anastigmat lens f7.7 & f6.3, with iris diaphragms and an variable shutter providing 1/25, 1/50, and 1/100 plus time bulb exposures. The finder is reversible for oblong and upright pictures. The camera measured 5 x 2 1/2 x 1 inch and weighed 11 ozs.
