The Mercury camera model CC 1500 was manufactured by Universal Camera Corporation in circa 1939. Similar to the Model CC but with a faster shutter speed. A 35mm type camera using Univex 200 series wide film wound on a special geared spool for taking sixty-five half-frame 18 x 24mm portrait exposures. The camera was constructed of aluminum alloy and covered in durable leather. It was fitted with a 35mm wollensak Tricor f2.7 or f3.5 3, or a Hexar f2.0. As the name implies the shutter provided speeds of 1/20 to 1/1500th of a second. Other features included an automatic film transport to eliminate double exposures, Retractable lens mount locks shutter, film minder provides type of film and number of exposures, built-in exposure meter and built-in flash synchronization, built-in brillant parallax corrected view finder and 17 focusing graduations from 1/2 foot to infinity.
