The Meteor camera model CX was manufactured by Universal Camera Corporation in circa 1949. An inexpensive light weight camera made from molded bakelite. The camera was capable of making twelve 2¼ x 2¼ inch square (6×6 cm) exposures on 620 roll film. It featured a telescoping and collapsible lens mount. Fitted with a fixed focus f11 coated lens with 4 variable aperture of f/11, f/16, f/22 and f/32 and a self-resetting instantaneous and a bulb shutter selected with a I /B lever atop the lens barrel. Other features included a built-in sun shade, extinction meter, hot shoe with flash synchronization, built-in view finder and rotary focus for close-ups and landscape. Originally priced at $15 usd.
