The Minute 16 camera was manufactured by UNiversal camera corporation of New York in circa 1949. A simple easy to use subminiture still camera or spy camera resembling a movie camera. It accepted 16mm daylight loading film cartridges for up to 14 exposures. It was fitted with a fixed focus, coated and color corrected, Achromat f6.3 lens with variable aperture for photos ranging from 3 feet to infinity. The rotary shutter behind-the-lens is a preset 1/50th of a second with flash synchronization built-in. Other features included automatic film transport, automatic exposure counter, automatic double exposure prevention, simple magazine loading, optical eye view finder and all metal construction. Originally priced at $7.95 usd. The optional flash unit was priced at $3.95.
