The Univex Iris Deluxe camera was manufactured by Universal Camera Corporation in circa 1938. It was constructed of die-cast zinc-based alloy with black leatherette covering and a chromium finished top plate. The regular Iris camera's top plate was black. It was fitted with a Vitar f7.9 50mm color corrected lens in a telescoping mount, with an iris diaphragm and a Ilex 3-speed precision-built shutter providing Instantaneous, time and bulb speeds. The iris stops included f7.9, f11, f16 and f22. Other features included a hinged back to permit quick, easy loading, cable release coupling, parallax corrected optical view finder and a compartment for an extra roll of film. The camera measures 5 x 2 x 1 15/16th inches and weighed 19.5 ounces. Originally priced at $7.50 usd.
