The Sherlock Holmes camera was manufactured by Leon Bloch in circa 1912. Designed to look like a small briefcase, to disguise the camera and take clandestine photos of unsuspecting subjects. It was intended to be carried under the arm with the shutter release located on the bottom of the case and the lens on the side. It included 4 cassettes of 7 x 10 cm plates.
