The Teddy Camera Model A was manufactured by the Teddy Camera Company of of Newark, NJ. in circa 1924. The camera was made of a thin tin lithographed box that was 4 1/2" high and 3 1/4" wide. Brightly colored red and gold. Advertised as not taking plates or negatives, but rather produces a picture in one minute without the need for a darkroom by utilizing a developing tank with a single solution attached to the bottom of the camera (not shown in the photo). The tanks are typically lost and only the cameras survive. The camera came with a set of sensitized cards, that produced 3 1/2 x 2 inch prints. the lens was a universal fixed focus and the shutter instantaneous. Originally priced at $2.50 usd.
