  Lordomat Camera

The Lordomat camera was manufactured by Leidolf company of Wetzlar, Western Germany in circa 1953. A popular automatic 35mm camera advertised as the best 35mm camera value. Featuring a coupled double-image type rangefinder and interchangeable lenses. Constructed of all metal with leatherette covering and satin chrome trim. The camera is designed to capture 24 x 36mm exposures on standard 35mm roll film. It was fitted with a Lordonar 50mm f3.5 coated lens and a Prontor SVS "M-X" shutter providing speeds of 1 to 1/300th of a second, plus bulb. It also featured a built-in optical view finder, double exposure prevention, flash synchronization and a rapid wind film advance, exposure count and shutter set.
