The Lordox camera was manufactured by Leidolf company of Wetzlar, Germany in circa 1952 to 1957. This early model was made in two sizes a 4x4cm and a 24x36mm in the rectangular brick body style. Constructed of a die-cast aluminum body with leather covering and satin chrome trim. Similar to the Lordette and Optina name variations. It was fitted with various lens/shutter combinations including a Triplet 50mm f3.8 lens with a Pronto shutter or a Triplon 50mm f2.8 lens with a Prontor-S shutter or a Lordon 50mm F2.8 lens with a Prontor-SVS shutter or a Wetzlar Anastigmat with a Prontor S-V "MX" shutter providing speeds of 1 to 1/300th of a second, plus bulb. It also featured a built-in optical eye-level view finder, double exposure prevention and flash synchronization. Originally priced at $49.50 usd.
