The "Modele Colonial" Tropical Camera was manufactured by Demaria Frères in circa 1910. Similar in design to the Caleb 9 x 12 cm model but made with metal reinforcement to guard against extreme climate weather. The camera was constructed of a wooden body with nickel casing and nickel flat bed. It was fitted with a Anastigmat Demaria or a Demaria-Lapierre f6.8 135 mm lens and a Koilos shutter providing speeds from 1/10th to 1/300th of a second plus time and bulb.
