  Click Hit-type Subminiature Camera

The Click hit-type camera was manufactured in Japan in circa 1950's. It was an inexpensive novelty camera that was constructed of molded pot-metal with leatherette covering. The camera was made in at least three variations. One version has a white metal face-plate with black a imprinted name CLICK on the top with three stars on each side and "MADE IN JAPAN" printed on the bottom. A second version is with a white metal face-plate and a black imprinted name CLICK on the top with one star on each side and "CAMERA" printed on the bottom. The third version is made with a black face plate with CLICK printed on the top in white lettering and two lines on either side with the words "MADE IN JAPAN" printed on the bottom. The camera took 14×14mm exposures on narrow paper-backed 17.5mm film. The camera was fitted with a fixed focus lens and a simple instantaneous shutter.
