  CMC CAMERA Hit-type Subminiature Camera

The popular CMC CAMERA hit-type camera were manufactured in Japan in circa 1950's. It was an inexpensive novelty camera that was constructed of molded pot-metal with leatherette covering. The camera was made in various colors including blue, yellow, brown, green, red, grey and black. It has a metal face-plate imprinted with the name CMC printed on the top with three stars on each side and "CAMERA" printed on the bottom. It took 14×14mm exposures on narrow paper-backed 17.5mm film. The camera was fitted with a fixed focus lens and a simple instantaneous shutter.
