The Lloyd's hit-type camera was manufactured in Japan from an unknown manufacturer in circa 1945-1952. The camera was constructed of molded pot-metal with leatherette covering. It has a metal face-plate imprinted with the name Lloyd's with only one star on each side and the phrase "MADE IN JAPAN" on the bottom. It is uncommon to only show one star on each side, typically it is three. The camera took 14 x 14mm exposures on narrow paper-backed 17.5mm film with a single speed instantaneous shutter and a fixed focus lens
