The Prince 16-S hit-type camera was manufactured in Japan from an unknown manufacturer in circa 1950. The camera was constructed of molded pot-metal with leatherette covering. It has a common hit-type style face-plate imprinted with the uncommon name PRINCE printed on top. Some have 16-Sprinted on the bottom and some say made in Japan. Some models have "Prince 16-S" engraved on the top view finder. The camera took 14 x 14mm exposures on paper-backed 17.5mm film. It featured a simple single speed instantaneous shutter and a fixed focus lens.
