The REAL hit-type camera was manufactured in Japan from an unknown manufacturer in circa 1950. The camera was constructed of metal with leatherette covering. Fitted with a common style hit-type style face-plate imprinted with the name REAL on the top. Made in Japan is printed on the bottom. REAL Camera is engraved on the top view finder. The camera took 14 x 14mm exposures on paper-backed 17.5mm film. It featured a simple single speed shutter and a fixed focus lens.
