  Tone Hit-type Subminiature Spy Camera

The Tone hit-type subminiature camera was made in occupied Japan by Toyo Koki in circa 1949. Sold first in Japan through magazines and later sold in the US. It is similar to the standard design of the hit-type cameras but built with better quality. It was fitted with a Tone Anastigmat f3.5/25 mm lens and variable speed shutter providing speeds of 1/25, 1/50, 1/100 and B. It captured 14x14mm sized exposures on 17.5 mm paper backed film that was introduced in 1948. It featured a waist-level and eye-level view finder.
