The Vesta hit-type camera was manufactured in Japan by Ginrei Koki Co. (Ginrei Photo Works) in circa 1949. Two versions were made. One with an eye-level finder and one with both an eye-level and waist-level view finder. The camera body was made of metal and covered with black leatherette. It has a face-plate imprinted with the name VESTA on the top and the "GINREI CO." on the bottom. It took 14 x 14mm exposures on narrow paper-backed 17.5mm film. It was fitted with a single speed instantaneous shutter and a fixed focus veneer f4.5 20mm lens.
