The Pocket Kozy Camera was manufactured by the Kozy camera Company from 1898 to 1899. A unique detective camera styled to represent a book. Small enough to fit in a pocket or carry on a cycle. The camera looks like a book when closed and when open the the bellows fold resemble pages. A cleaver design. The camera measured 1 5/8 inches thick when closed and weighed 16 ounces. It was patented on July 12, 1892 Henry E. Bryant with patent number 478,837. The Kozy pocket camera captured six or twelve 3 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch sized exposures on daylight loading cartridge film. Originally priced at $10.00. An improved model preceded this version and was introduced in 1897. For more info on the No. 2 Kozy click here.
