Series B Magazine Camera by Bullard

The Series B Magazine Camera was manufactured by the Bullard Camera Company in circa 1898. It was a well made magazine camera, similar to the "Series A" except for the front standard, capable of capturing eighteen 4 x 5 inch exposures on glass plates that were housed in an aluminum sheaths. The Series B was fitted with a special single Achromatic lens and a unique Bullard automatic shutter with the bulb and hose arranged for time and adjustable instantaneous exposures form 1/100 of a second and up. A feature of the Bullard shutter was that it was always set or self-setting. Additional features included a rising front, reversible brilliant finder, special focusing scale and twelve plate carriers. McKeown's indicates that early models were made in Wheeling, West Virgina and are rare. It was priced below the Series A magazine camera at $10.00 in 1901.
