  Half Plate Set by Marion & Co.

A Superior Half Plate Photography set was sold by Marion & Co. in circa 1885. The camera was made of Spanish mahogany, with a leather bellows with rack and pinion adjustment, double swing, horizontal and vertical sliding front, new reversing arrangement of the back. The camera was fitted with a Marion No. 2 Rectilinear lens. The outfit also included Strong sliding tripod, velvet focusing cloth, leather case (for camera , cloth, lens and three backs), waterproof case for tripod. 1/4 gross B.D.P. half plates, bottles of Britannia solution, liquid ammonia, hypo, alum, i rocking development tray, zinc washing apparatus, ruby lamp, glass measures, draining rack, and two inner carriers to take quarter plates when desired.
