Star No. 1 Camera by Marion & Co.

The Star No. 1 magazine hand camera was manufactured by the Marion & Company of London, in circa 1904. It was a basic box camera fitted with a Beck single achromatic lens and a time and four speed instantaneous Everset shutter. It featured two brilliant view finders, and special safety mechanism with safety spring catch so that it is impossible to accidentally expose a plate. The magazine carried twelve quarter plates, housed in metal sheaths. A removable table allows exposed plates to be removed removed in daylight without interfering with the unexposed plates. Priced at 21 shillings.
