1904 hunting guide in Rocky Mtns- what camera?

Postby katherine » Mon Jun 13, 2011 11:23 am

For a novel touching on the history of Banff National Park and area, does anyone know what camera a big game hunting guide and packer would be likely to carry?
He'd be traveling by horse and climbing, living in tents and experiencing extreme weather fluctuations - snow sleet hail and heat.
I'm thinking a Kodak Brownie but was there something more specialized, also very portable?

I'd be very grateful for any thoughts.

6 months late, but I have a 1904 5x7 Century model 40. Very light, could easily have been carried on a long trip w/extra film or glass plate holders.
