My girlfriend of many years passed away last year, and recently her son and I have been going through her storage units that were purchased and used as a result of her brother having passed away some 20 years ago. She had often talked of her grandfather and father "fussing " with an excessive old camera. Needless to say, we've been in awe of this Levy Process camera from first sight. The more we looked, the more we found, and it would be a shame not to share this![img][img][/img][/img] Having NO experience with this type of camera, I haven't a clue as to what is here, and what isn't, but there is so much here, that it's possible that we might even be able to take a pic! If I can figure out how, I'll be happy to share as many pics as possible. There are even a couple of boxes of arc carbons, different colored filters, paper, and the huge trolley system that it mounted on.

Wow, that is a monster. I don't have much info on this professional grade camera, but I will look around.

The top picture is a glass screen used to make halftone dot. Very expensive at the time, just a good coffee table and conversation piece now.
Carbon Arc lights gave good pin point light , but also smoked and sparked so not healthy or safe by todays standards. As I recall, Levy was based in Phildelphia. Bi the late 1950's most camera were maded of steel. The last Levi I saw in operation was in the early 1970's.
