  Folding Cyclone No. 16 & 17

The Folding Cyclone No. 16 and 17 cameras were sold by the Western Camera Manufacturing Company in circa 1897. Specially designed as a hand camera. The cameras were constructed of the finest polished mahogany. The outside box is covered with fine quality black grain morocco leather and the metal parts were nickel plated and highly finished. It was fitted with a Instantaneous Symmetrical Lens and the shutter provided exposures from 1 second to 1/100th of a second. The shutter included an iris diaphragm. It featured a detachable rear hood with a magnifier for accurate focusing. The front has rising and falling movement. The No. 16, priced at $25.00, was capable of taking 4 x 5 inch sized exposures and the No. 17 priced at $32.00 took 5 x 7 inch exposures.
