The Folding Cyclone No. 3 & 4 cameras were sold by the Western Camera Manufacturing Company in circa 1897. Designed as a hand camera to carry three dry plate holders but remaining light to carry. It featured rising and falling front, single swing in the back, ground glass is concealed from view by a sliding panel which is not detachable, the reversible finder is hooded, it is fitted with an Instantaneous Symmetrical lens, a shutter providing bulb, time and snap exposures, and two tripod sockets are provided. The No. 3 was capable of capturing exposures 4 x 5 inch in size and originally cost $16.00. The No. 4 took 5 x 7 inch exposures and cost $32.00.
