The Cyclone Senior hand Camera was manufactured by the Western Camera Co. of Chicago, Illinois from 1897 to 1899. After 1899 with the ROC merger, it was manufactured by the Rochester Optical Company. It was a well made camera taking exposures 4 x 5 inches on a glass plate. A was fitted with a achromatic combination meniscus lens and an automatic time and instantaneous shutter. The camera was compact and light and it measured 5 1/4 x 7 x 8 inches and weighed 27 ounces. It featured a brilliant square finder, automatic snap picture taking, and was able to carry three double plate holders. Originally priced at $5.00, including one double plate holder.
