The Infallible Hand Camera was manufactured by S.D. McKellen in circa 1898. It was sold through Ross Opticians ltd. and Thompson & Company. Described as an excellent magazine camera fitted with McKellen's infallible automatic mechanism. made of wood and covered in morocco leather. The magazine carried 12 plates or 24 film sheaths. It was in multiple sizes include the no. 4 providing 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch exposures and the No. 5 providing 4 x 5 inch exposures. . fitted with a rapid symmetrical lens f8.5 and a patented aluminum time and instantaneous shutter.
