The Improved Long Focus camera was manufactured and sold by William Hume in circa 1886. Advertised as the most complete camera. The camera was constructed of finely hand-dovetailed mahogany wood with brass fittings. It is made in a square pattern with a rotating back so that a plate can be rotated between landscape and portrait while the slide is mounted in the camera. The camera featured back and front tilt, rise and fall of the lens board, and is rigid when the camera is placed on an angle. Double extension leather bellows. This camera was made in three sizes, a 6 1/2 x 4 3/4 inch, 7 1/2 x 5 inch, and a 8 1/2 x 6 1/2 inch. It was typically sold with a Darlot universal lens.
