  American (Folding Camera, Style A-D)

The American Folding Camera was manufactured by the American Camera Mfg. Company, under new ownership of Eastman kodak, in circa 1899. Made for a short time. Four versions of this camera was made. This camera featured polished mahogany wood construction, red leather bellows, reversible view finder, and reversible back. Styles A and B featured an achromatic lens. Style B had an upgraded self-contained detachable R.M & W shutter. Style C upgraded the lens to a rapid rectilinear and Style D upgraded style C with a rack and pinion focusing.
